About Michael
As a young boy growing up in Italy, Michael realized that life would never be the same without a dog. Everyone in town new his dog "Piccolino". When he went outside the villagers would say “che carino” “che bello” “un cane Americano”, “che tranquillo, che cosa gli dai da mangiare”? (how cute, how adorable, an American dog, what do you give him to eat? he is so calm). He thought all the commotion and emotion of Naples would certainly make his dog jittery and out of control for life but he was wrong. His dog was always calm and came running whenever he called. One day, an old woman called him a “mago “ (a magician) and he realized that he had a special talent --- to calm dogs.
Many years and lifetimes later, while living in Sonoma County working as a lawyer in family law, Michael realized that all the untrained country dogs would follow him wherever he went and always listen to his commands. He began to recall his childhood and what the old woman had said to him. After a lot of soul searching he then decided to accept the response “a lawyer turned dog trainer"!
Michael decided to follow his calling and has never looked back.
